Do you provide telehealth services?
Yes we do offer telehealth services and plan to continue provide telehealth as an option so long as it is supported by insurance payers and is appropriate. Please note: Treatment with controlled substances will require an in-office visit.
What ages do you treat?
For MEDICATION Management, we treat all individuals age 6 and up.
For THERAPY, we treat all individuals ages 13 and up.
What do you treat?
We treat most psychiatric/mental health disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorder, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, childhood disorders, stress, grief & loss and more. We do not provide primary care or other specialty services.
What treatment services do you offer?
We provide psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy.
Do you offer psychological evaluations and testing?
No, at this time we do not provide psychological evaluations or testing.
Do you provide letters for emotional support animals?
No, unfortunately we do not write letters for emotional support animals.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
We are able to prescribe controlled substances when it is clinically appropriate. We follow evidence based guidelines when prescribing any medication, especially controlled substances. We have strict policies in place regarding prescriptions for controlled substance that must be followed by any patient receiving a controlled substance. Patients who are not appropriate or have been unable to comply with policies will not receive prescriptions for controlled substances.
Do you prescribe benzodiazepines for anxiety?
We do prescribe benzodiazepines when clinically appropriate. We follow evidence based guidelines when prescribing any medication, including benzodiazepines. Patient who are deemed appropriate for treatment with benzodiazepines are required to adhere to our controlled substances policy. Furthermore, only one month of any controlled substance, including benzodiazepines are prescribed at a time; and regular medication sessions and engagement in psychotherapy is mandatory if a patient is prescribed a benzodiazapine or any other controlled substance. This also applies to other nonbenzodiazapines and hypnotics used for insomnia. If you are on another controlled substance it may not be clinically appropriate to take benzodiazepines, nonbenzodiazepines, or hypnotics.
Do you prescribe psychostimulants for ADHD?
We do prescribe psychostimulants when clinically appropriate. We follow evidence based guidelines when prescribing any medication, including psychostimulants . Patient who are deemed appropriate for treatment with psychostimulants are required to adhere to our controlled substances policy. Furthermore, only one month of any controlled substance, including psychostimulants are prescribed at a time; and regular medication sessions and engagement in psychotherapy is mandatory if a patient is prescribed a psychostimulants or any other controlled substance. If you are on another controlled substance it may not be clinically appropriate to take psychostimulants. Please also be aware that we may require patients to have psychological testing for ADHD completed prior to initiating treatment with psychostimulants.
I am currently prescribed a controlled substance by my previous provider, will you continue my medication?
We will evaluate the appropriateness of the medications you are currently prescribed. We cannot guarantee that we will continue any specific medication treatment regimen prescribed previously be another provider. We follow evidence based guidelines when prescribing any medication. If a medication is not deemed to be appropriate or safe, we will not prescribe it. We will work with you to find a safe and appropriate treatment plan based on your individual case.
Do you provide pain management services?
No, we do not specialize nor engage in pain management. Thus we do not prescribed opiates or other controlled substances used for the treatment of pain. There are times that certain psychiatric medications may be used by pain specialist for the treatment of pain, however when we prescribe these medications, it is solely for the purpose of psychiatric treatment.
