LBH is making changes!
LBH is in the process of working to streamline, optimize and overall improve the processes we use to provide services to our clients.
As a part of this process, we have partnered with Headway to act as a billing intermediary as we expand and grow our services and recruit new providers. This will allow us to pivot our commercial services as we rework our operations in order to ensure no interruption of services to our commercially insured clients.
If you received an email from Headway- we would appreciate completing the requested information. Once this is completed- there is nothing more you need to do at this time. We will notify you if and when we need to utilize the Headway to provide your care. Rest assured, Headway is an approved business associate of LBH and follows all HIPAA privacy laws and regulations.
Additional Update (4/28/25):
We are now in the early process of obtaining and setting up an entirely new EMR and practice management software system - which, we hope, will drastically improve our workflows and address many of the issues we have been having for over the past year. With this new system we expect improved communication with our clients directly through a new and improved patient portal (which can be access via web browser as well as a mobile app available on Android and Apple app stores!).
With this new portal we expect patient to be able to:
Communicate with staff via the integrated and secure chat feature!
Self-schedule certain appointment types without calling into the office!
Upload and download important documents!
View and pay balances online without calling into the office!
Easily complete and update required forms and paperwork!
Log into virtual sessions right from the app!
And more!
With this new system, we also expect some of the billing issues we have experienced to be resolved, which should result in a more seamless and streamlined experience for patients.

Coming later this year…. LBH Community Care
As part of our efforts to optimize and expand our services, LBH is currently in the early stages of building and launching our new outpatient mental health center, which will focus primarily on low income & elderly patients. LBH Community Care will operate alongside LBH, but will be focused solely on underserved populations. LBH Community Care will primarily take Medicare & Maryland Medicaid; and also offer an income based sliding scale.
We recognize the need in the region for community based services, as well as the specialized needs of these populations. Our goal with LBH Community Care is to provide individualized, optimized, and focused care on those individuals who need it most.
